During the papal liturgies, Pope Benedict XVI will use a Missal prepared especially for this Apostolic Journey.
The Missal was prepared by the Office of Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff and the Secretariat for Divine Worship of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. It was published by USCCB Publishing.
The Missal includes all of the prayer texts the Holy Father will use in celebrating the liturgies. There are two bindings: white and maroon. The Holy Father will use the Missal with the white binding. The other binding will be used by the members of the papal entourage and the bishops. Pope Benedict XVI’s coat of arms is on the cover.

YOUR HOLINESS POPE BENEDICT XVI, I FORGOT TO MENTION THE NEW PAPAL MISSAL, IT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.
I LOVE THE LATIN MASS, AND WAS BROUGHT UP READING THE LATIN AND ENGLISH ALONG SIDE IT. I HOPE WE WILL BE ABLE TO PURCHASE A NEW ONE. I HAD THE CARDINAL SPELLMAN, AND ST. JOSEPH MISSAL. MY COUSINS WERE PRIESTS, VICAR GENERAL, AND JESUITS. I DO NOT KNOW IF YOU WILL EVER GET TO READ THIS, BUT TO GIVE YOU A LITTLE SMILE, MY HUSBAND AND I WILL BE 58 YEARS MARRIED THIS COMING DECEMBER, MANY A TIME WE WOULD COMMENT TO OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WE HAD MORE PRIESTS ON THE ALTAR AND IN A PEW, THAN WE HAD BRIDESMAIDS. SO OUR FAITH IS STILL VERY STRONG. BLESSED WITH SIX CHILDREN AND TWELVE GRANDCHILDREN.
